Mobile Marketing Trends for 2012 For Social Media Agencies
What will the new year bring for mobile marketing and certified text message marketers? Here’s what you should be concentrating on and what to expect from mobile marketing in 2012:
Social media by far is where everything’s going. By creating engaging Facebook Fan Pages with a virtual social media agency and developing mobile marketing strategies to drive traffic and interest to your social media initiatives, you’ll be on the fast lane to customer loyalty and branding programs that were absolutely unheard of just a few short years ago.
The Android market is hot and will remain hot. Despite the “coolness” of Apple and the iPhone, if you’re a mobile marketing developer, concentrate on developing apps for Android. And if you’re looking to have an app built for your company or business, target the Android marketplace first, then have one made for the iPhone if your budget allows.
Near Field Communication (NFC) will continue to grow to amazing levels in 2012. Mobile payments are one thing, but there are so many options and so many ways to utilize NFC, as more and more smartphones are factory equipped to accommodate NFC in 2012. Most brands and consumers don’t even know what it is, but you probably already use it in everyday life such as keyless car entry or automatic toll collection. Just think about the possibilities of implementing such a technology on something you carry with you every single day. If you’re into mobile marketing and SMS text message marketing and are not doing some form of Near Field Communication technology, you’ll really be missing the boat in 2012.
Can anyone argue that more and more people are accessing websites from their mobile devices? Businesses and brands most certainly need a mobile-optimized version of their website created. If you’re a mobile marketer, concentrating on developing mobile websites will make sure you constantly have work. There’s so many options out there including mCommerce, the need for mobile lead capture and squeeze pages alone will be a major trend in the upcoming year (as it was last year in fact).
There’s little doubt that with the advent of technology, mobile marketing continues to be perhaps the best market to be in for year 2012.
